Since 1990 I have been a member of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). I am currently section chair for International / Cross-Cultural section for the second time (first time in 2008-2010) and also for History and Philosophy section (2002-2003). I am currently on the International Relations Committee, and in 2021 was appointed secretary of the committee.

I have been involved with the Western Canadian Theoretical Psychology (WCTP) group since 1998 and was local host for our annual meetings held between 2013 and 2015 in Victoria. We have been meeting in St Albert from 2016 to 2018, continuing with our investigation of Depth in Culture. Recently I served as Coordinator of Process for the collection and distribution of potential chapters for our next volume.

Off and on I have been involved with the International Society for Theoretical Psychology (ISTP), having presented at the 2001 conference in Calgary, attended the 2015 conference in Conventry and presented at the 2017 Conference in Tokyo on Ethos and Identity and presented on the Digital Self at the 2019 conference in Copenhagen. The next conference will be in Sacramento California in 2022 (Moved online due to COVID).

Since 2000 I have been a member of the Camosun College Faculty Association (CCFA) and have served on the Contract Negotiating Committee (2014-2020) and Contract Management Committee (2015-2017). I also have been a delegate for the CCFA at the annual general meeting (2015, 2016, 2017, 2019) of the Federation of Post Secondary Educators (FPSE), to which the CCFA is a member (local 12).
