activity 11 ~ art and culture

This week your projects are to look for expression of art that represent a cultural view.  Try to identify the message and medium of communication that is present.  Look up important sources on this if you like.

 So explore your growing sense of what popular art and culture mean as the semester has gone on.

Also, if you like, explore website or publications on power and politics and artistic expression.  This should allow you to make some comments on the value (social justice terms) of the art that you have chosen to critique.

Make a discussion board posting that outlines your commentary on the art that you have found, also comment on the posting oat least one other person.
