Stress and Coping
For this activity you will take a stress inventory to examine your feeling of stress and means of coping with it.
To begin, click on this link or (Word) and download the file to complete the questions.
Once you have done that, review your answers and comment on the items that you have indicated are sources of stress with respect to the points raised in the lecture notes regarding stress and coping (link).
This activity is designed to help you to develop your "Stress Literacy", knowing what stresses that you tend to face in daily life and also to develop successful means to cope with such stressors.
Write up a brief report indicating whether or not you are experiencing stress and the general nature of it along with the methods you are currently using to reduce stress.
First, in reporting on the stressors you are experiencing, consider both the source and symptoms you are experiencing, and give examples.
Secondly, examine the lecture notes' list of modes of coping, ranging from primary appraisal through to symptom reducing activities that you might make use of in the future to help reduce your experience of stress.
