Defining Intelligence

           The phrases listed below refer to a variety of desirable traits and characteristics that someone might possess.  Choose ten (10) traits that you think clearly refer to some aspect of intelligence.

                    2.    Has a large vocabulary.

                    3.    Knows and uses the language properly.

                    4.    Knows how to spell words correctly.

                    5.    Is good at reasoning; can use both inductive and deductive logic correctly.

                    6.    Is very knowledgeable of science; understands scientific reasoning.

                    7.    Has a very good memory; can quickly and accurately recall many facts and figures.

                    8.    Is artistically talented.

                    9.    Is musically talented.

                  10.    Is an effective speaker.

                  11.    Has exceptional leadership abilities.

                  12.    Is very quick to learn new things.

                  13.    Is very creative.

                  14.    Is an effective writer.

                  17.    Can read quickly with good comprehension.

                  18.    Has good mechanical skills; can take apart and assemble machinery quickly.
