Built on the dichotomy of objective and subjective
the course will look at both the phenomena of music and
how it is grounded in the physical
i.e., brain, behaviour & social rituals (mediate
experiences)
as well as our experience and interpretation of
music as part of our being human
i.e., Emotion, meaning and motivation (immediate
experiences)
